at the most I could see troops being deployed by
dropping down by rope, but I could not see them landing the chopper inside the compound unless they got the "all clear". But to keep a noisy chopper, even a stealth chopper in the air before
a surprise firefight does just not seem credible.
IMO they would have dumped a handful off a km or so away from a firefight and picked them up

It's not the year two fucking thousand anymore. No technology is stagnant (except 4 stroke hydrocarbon engines lol) and DNA has become much faster and easier in recent years.

There are field kits which can do a complete DNA test in under two hours available commercially. I'd imagine the government/military has even better ones.

Very astute, Texas. That has been in the back of my mind ever since I first heard that it was a stealth helecopter that had been downed. Apparently it's not stealth enough to evade Pakistani AA fire, or whatever really happened.
