These fuel protests, don't buy gas on such-n-such day, etc, etc, never work.

They are blocking the refinery no fuel deliveries

its about fukcin time aswell

80% of gas cost over there is gvmt tax.
their gvmt can lowering the taxes and therefore lowering the gas price.
but who and how will pay for their medicare and other subsidies which are paid by gas tax?

there is no such a thing as a free ride.

In a way it's a pity because everyone wants to pay less and we all know we're being screwed by the tax.

But the corporation tax was dropped down in the last budget and that is about all we can expect.

The big con is road tax.

No the con is ALL TAX, block the ports like the French do and get the tanker drivers on your side .

Yeah get rid of tax. Screw the welfare and NHS.

What I don't understand is the government charges less
road tax for high mpg diesels
But the European commission wants to put 10p a litre on diesel
by 2013 because of the emissions from diesel
Mixed message or what...

Block the ports anyway love it when the French get angry

you need a history lesson my friend if you think the Tax we pay is even legal or just. this government only need 66billion to run the whole of the UK this is taken in income tax alone , where do you think the rest goes ?VAT Vehicle tax (and truckers pay massive amounts )and all the other taxes we pay in where do you think the money comes from to pay the EU bill and two wars, before you start spouting about lazy bastards sitting at home and the NHS do some research.

we pay for our 'free' national health service out of our wages alongside our income tax.

income tax is %20 for the average earner and national insurance (towards health care) is %9.

yep - and stop spending £millions per DAY on invasions and occupations. (the recent Libya shit storm cost the UK tens of millions PER DAY)

I don't mind tax..but there's tax on tax here. I pay tax from my salary, what's left over I pay more tax for the council and I pay tax on the fuel which drives me to work ( so I can earn money and pay taxes). Then my phone bill has 20% tax added on that, everything I then buy with my 'after tax' salary, is taxed. I mean FFS.

i rant like that almost daily and i hear more and more people ranting the same.

it's too much 'they' keep winding us up but eventually like an elastic band we will snap.
