It's nice of them to gather around and chill ! Makes me wonder what they're really discussing... In a way, I'm glad I'm not financially wealthy. I wouldn't want to hang out and tell people what I'm doing with my money unless I hired them. Look at Mark Zuckerberg; not even 30 yet and he's on the list. It's just mind-boggling to picture him there with all these people. I really hope some of them are sincere in how they're spending their money |

How much can I "open myself up" to being generous, not for any reason or any reward but "just because." Some of the attempts I've made have had remarkable results. I can say that outrageous, extravagant giving -- even on the small scale of my efforts -- has radically changed the way I live life. We become like that to which we are devoted. - Choose wisely. |

Like most things it may not work out as well as they had hoped, but at least they are making the effort. Quoting: Life and LoveI am not wealthy but most would say I'm "well off." I'm just not down with Warren Buffet & Bill Gates as the ones who host this shindig every year. Nope, not one bit! God bless those who give and give w/o looking back !! |

That is if you abandon your fortune to help others, no?! :) The problem with the Rich Young Ruler wasn't his "gold." It was his "grasp." "Two men went to the Temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a despised tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer: 'I thank you, God, that I am not a sinner like everyone else. For I don't cheat, I don't sin, and I don't commit adultery. I'm certainly not like that tax collector! I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income. But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow, saying, 'O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner. I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted." |
