Billionaires gather in Arizona to discuss giving & A WHO'S WHO list of America's Wealthiest
Billionaire investor Warren Buffett said Friday that a private gathering was a great chance for the billionaires who have pledged to give away at least half their wealth to meet each other, compare notes, eat and laugh.

The media was banned from Thursday's first meeting of the group that has accepted the giving challenge by Buffett and his friend Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. Since last June, 69 individuals or couples have made the giving pledge.

It's nice of them to gather around and chill rolleyes! Makes me wonder what they're really discussing...scheming
In a way, I'm glad I'm not financially wealthy. I wouldn't want to hang out and tell people what I'm doing with my money unless I hired them. Look at Mark Zuckerberg; not even 30 yet and he's on the list. It's just mind-boggling to picture him there with all these people.
I really hope some of them are sincere in how they're spending their money baffle

I certainly applaud their efforts. Like most things it may not work out as well as they had hoped, but at least they are making the effort.

I am not wealthy but most would say I'm "well off." I think about this subject a lot. How much can I "open myself up" to being generous, not for any reason or any reward but "just because."

Some of the attempts I've made have had remarkable results. I can say that outrageous, extravagant giving -- even on the small scale of my efforts -- has radically changed the way I live life.

The problem with the Rich Young Ruler wasn't his "gold." It was his "grasp."

Re: Billionaires gather in Arizona to discuss giving & A WHO'S WHO list of America's Wealthiest
Luke 18:10-14 should be in lights on a billboard in their meeting room smile!

"Two men went to the Temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a despised tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer: 'I thank you, God, that I am not a sinner like everyone else. For I don't cheat, I don't sin, and I don't commit adultery. I'm certainly not like that tax collector! I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income. But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow, saying, 'O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner. I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted."
