Thread: They are called contrails not chemtrails (Page 5)

no, they are not contrails. They are chemtrails and its called geo-engineering

No, I have to agree with the OP. Chemtrail theorists are just whackos, plain and simple. I've been an aviation enthusiast since I was a child, and I've ALWAYS seen contrails, just as now (here in the UK most people call them 'vapour trails').

I'm sick of idiots saying that they "didn't happen until 1986" or some bollocks like that, when I know full well that here in the UK there are vast numbers of old photos and paintings from World War 2 - from the Battle of Britain especially, when the sky was covered with them. Even my grandparents remember seeing them weaving patterns in the sky. I'm also sick of stupid people misidentifying perfectly normal military hardware, like underwing pods on aircraft, as something sinister.

The whole notion of 'Chemtrails' was dreamt up by paranoid, loony Americans, who are scared of everything and understand nothing. They are the same people who think that every time a military helicopter flies overhead they are being 'watched'. There are lots of genuine mysteries and conspiracies in the world, and some are indeed sinister, but they have real evidence to back them up. Chemtrails just has ignorance, stupidity and wishful thinking by utter idiots.

Go on then, let the idiots start their personal assaults on me 5a

so how do you explain the perfectly laid out grid of trails in the sky. I too remember seeing vapor trails as a child but these are totally different, they are a perfectly laid out grid that spreads to cover the sky, often you will see natural clouds below them. I don't pretend to know what the hell they are but they are not the same thing was saw as children. I have not seen them but once since I moved to the country a couple of years ago, I use to see them often when I lived in the city.

Most 707's from the sixty's didn't go above above 28,000-32,000 ft. Now 35,000 to 41,000 is the norm, depending on distance point A to B and the fuel saving based on wind and, believe it or not, ride characteristics. There's a lot more to it based on your specific clearance and your manipulation of ATC for for routing for said same A to B.

Question:
When you flew as a commercial pilot were you ever aware of your contrails status . . . ? Unless, you saw a shadow on a cloud layer below you . . . if you were a combat pilot I suppose you were very aware . . . coffee4

Crossing patterns, another airliner, above or below at a 30,45,90 180 degrees,or anything in between, has a clearly define contrail if the the conditions are correct. During daylight hours, if you're put in a holding pattern for whatever delay, you will see your own contrail after making your initial turn, if conditions (density, temp., moisture ) are present. I've seen it hundreds of times.
