LinuxChick User ID: 1245562 United States 05/10/2011 01:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | have you seen gasland op? Quoting: Lizardkingno let me go check it out. I am going to watch this, have you seen it lizard? Watch it. If someone had told me that a person would be able to turn on their tap, take a match, and light their tap water on fire I would have told them they were full of shit. The drinking water is being contaminated with toxic chemicals in addition to the methane. You can't drink it, nor can you bathe with it or even water your garden. If your well becomes contaminated, there is NO legal recourse. You won't be able to sell your home and will likely have to just walk away from it. I know someone who had to do this. They wound up moving to Maine. I have the misfortune to live in the miserable corrupt shithole state of Pennsylvania, and I can verify that what people are saying here is true. I am trying to spread the word, fighting fracking and trying to keep the gas drillers out of my county. But with Tom Corporate as the new driller friendly Rethuglican Governor, I don't hold out much hope. I can't wait to GTFO of this state. Last Edited by LinuxChick on 05/10/2011 01:08 PM |

Quoting: BRIEFDrinking diluted water dissolves minerals into your urine and causes you to lose essential minerals. In fact one of the reasons that soda is so bad for health is because it is made with distilled water, and heavy soda drinkers often have lower calcium and other mineral levels because distilled water causes them to dissolve into the water and pass through the urinary tract. Id suggest buying a water filter for your tap, or buy water and filter it. [link to www.mercola.com] What the hell is diluted water? What do you dilute it with, more water? I don't drink soda...We get our nutrients and minerals from fresh natural foods, not in our water...pure water should be only H2O and nothing else added... I think its apparent I meant to say distilled in that first sentence like I did in the others nonetheless my bad. By the sound of it you're taking a lot of steps to ensure that you get proper amounts of nutrients, I would encourage you to do a little research on the properties of distilled water (why its useful in chemistry to dissolve and ionize some metals, and so forth). Its just a matter maximizing the minerals you supplement, and those found already in the body tissues. Water found in the environment has natural levels of iron, copper, zinc etc that you do not necessarily need to utilize, it just prevents this leeching occurring when the water is consumed and spread throughout the body. |

I know I was just giving you shit...but I have my own distillers and if you saw the crap that I get out of tap water you would think twice about drinking it...I get large flakes of calcium deposits and there is always a yellowish nasty liquid left over when the batch is done...trust me, distilled is much better than fluoridated, chlorinated, and dissolved mineral contaminated water. bubba User ID: 1342532 United States 05/10/2011 08:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The world of the energy consortium is a cruel one to other life forms. The Appalachian people , particularly in West virginia and parts of western virginia have been dealing with black water, etc for years now. Saw it in 2007 on a Bill Moyers pbs show. from blowing up mountain tops in mining (mowntain top removal)and dumping into the streams. Black water coming from faucets, rampant kidney deterioration, respiratory impairments, liver poisoning, etc. And I can tell you, every suceding generation will be constitutionaly (in their body) weaker. Look up Christians for Mountains. somewhere there will be a video of a man who tried to get attention for the school his grandaughter attended. It was down mountain from a clay slurry pond that was known to be tenuous. The water at school was black at times. The little girl, would turn purple in her face and had deep dark cicles around her eyes, and the kids knew the water was making them sick. The response to this one man's crusade was that West Virginia allowed themining companies to dump even closer to the waterways. I think now they can dump straight in again. |

"We found concentration levels where you have to worry about explosions," said Robert Jackson, an environmental sciences professor at Duke and one of the study's authors. But...but...how am I going to drink my burple if it's flammable? |

Fresh water's going to be the next 'black gold' one of these days, and people sitting on such big aquifers are going to be well put to make a quick buck come that time. They probably got the land for pretty cheap too, I bet This is why we need a paradigm shift and humanity needs to evolve past the capitalistic mindset. |

I don't disagree with this statement, however I also agree with the other poster..the problem with trying to get the minerals from our foods now is that our soils have become so severely depleted, we are almost guaranteed a deficiency..no matter how well we eat. Soils, Grass, and Cancer by Andre Voisin has a lot of good info in it. "Violence simply is not radical enough, since it generally changes only the rulers but not the rules. What use is a revolution that fails to address the fundamental problem: the existence of domination in all its forms, and the myth of redemptive violence that perpetuates it?" - Walter Wink |
