Not really. Ever wonder why it always says "Hottest year since XXXX"? Because the climate fluctuates. Sometimes it take 100s of years, but it always rises and falls. Back in the year XXXX nobody was running around preaching about the world getting hotter. Go outside and enjoy the warm weather before we reach a "coldest year since XXXX" and people start thinking ice age doom....

Hey I'm not saying that the Al Gore version is real. It could be down to galactic position, solar flares, cow farts or any other reason but the charts do show a leap taking place right now.

I do think it's funny when people panic and say things like "It hasn't been this hot since 1950!" OK, well, that means that in 1950, it was this hot, and everything was fine for another 61 years afterwards.

I have no idea what the point OP is trying to make. TO say the weather changes? well duh every second some part of the weather system is different. And if thats what OP is saying then why make a thread about it? If OP is saying that the world is hotter than ever and its all doom from something, then no.

Care to expand on this or did you just want to join in?

in michigan we have a saying, if you dont like the weather, come back outside in 30 minutes, hence its always changing

I think you are correct, only 50%; the thing is that there are short cycles, 4 seasons, and long cycles, longer periods before major, more permanent, changes in weather patterns;

we are experiencing the end of one long cycle, and the beginning of another... some places will begin to have cooler climates while colder places will begin to experience warmer temps they are used to; there is a reason why iceland was named iceland and greenland named greenland :)
