I just got off work. Local pizza shop. I deliver. Tonight I had 11 deliveries, worked 6 hours, drove 50 miles, made $90. I usually make between $10 and $20 per hour, depending.

I have delivered off and on for different places for years. I have worked for small shops, pizza hut, and domino's. Working for the major chains I made shit. Working for a locally owned shop I make great money.

There are several variables that will determine how much you will make. First is the area. Like one poster already stated, rich people don't tip and poor people don't tip. But the middle class tip really well. Second is the time of day that you work. If you don't have a lot of deliveries, then you are just making your hourly. One thing about that is if you get paid less than minimum wage and work for tips, but you don't get any tips because you don't have deliveries, then your employer is obligated by law to make up the difference.

I love my job. You should tell your friend to give it a try. They will either love it or hate it.
