Already knew about this... It's lame. But it is also extremely rare. The cost for this whole thing every year adds up to about 1/10000000000000000000th of our wasteful spending. It almost doesn't matter in the whole scheme of things. Sure, it is an "outrageous" example, but in sheer numbers it is really quite meaningless. If you really want to save taxpayers money, fight against corporate welfare and war.
