!!! LOUD BOOM/GROUND SHAKING Hampton Roads , Virginia !!!
Pretty interesting, I live out here but I guess I was far enough away that I didn't hear it personally.

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) - WAVY.com received dozens of phone calls and hundreds of Facebook posts from viewers asking about a loud boom across the region.

We received reports from people in cities including Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Suffolk, and on the Eastern Shore.

We also received reports of shaking from viewers across the area sometime between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey's seismological reports, there was no seismic activity in the area on Tuesday night.

A spokeswoman at NAS Oceana said they got several reports on their noise complaint hotlines, some as far away as Suffolk.

I don't think so. It was starry skies last night. No bad weather in the area at all.

Quite a few people report that it sounded like a large helicopter moving slowly, shaking their whole house, but these people live miles away. Some report it as a loud boom with earthquake like shaking.

I live in west-central VA. About that time yesterday I felt shaking/vibration.

I looked outside and there was an odd helicopter. It had a propeller on each wing. Flying west.

It did feel weird. But no earthquake.

But here in Hampton roads that loud sound and shaking was heard in at least 5 cities, miles apart... at the same time.

I live about 4 miles from Langley. Didn't hear or feel anything. We have the Airshow coming this weekend, may have been some night time flying or practicing by one of the 22s.

There was no rain in the area, or thunder for that matter. I am keen for listening or watching for strange things, but heard nor felt anything.

We must live in the same area, I am VERY close to Langley and heard nothing either. It sounds like they think if it was an aircraft it would have to have been coming from NAS Oceania, but they claim it wasn't them. I guess people actually called the base comaplaining about noise. It might have been them anyway even if they don't admit it.

Hasn't this been happening multiple places lately? New York maybe was one of them? I can't remember exactly right now.
