And these very smart people know it. When they own all of the gold, they become the master and the rest become a slave because the government has lost the ability to expand fake money supply. Gold is more suitable in feudalistic society.

But a global gold backed reserve currency can be used temporary if China/Russia and other nations completely losing fate in dollar. This will happen when US military no longer in control of oil rich region OR THERE IS NO MORE OIL in US controlled region.

A little bit of international trade (with gold) is better than no trade .

As far as a fake money supply goes, there will always be some sort of currency used - not gold though - because without a standard upon which to trade with then nobody can buy anything. According to you we will end up back at the barter system, which will not work by any means in a global society.

The pipeline is only 33% used because our god damn nObama prez has shut off the drilling production in what is considered a huge untapped oil reserve. It is so huge it encompases the same pool of oil that Russia and Canada are staking claims to right now! All simply by tapping into the artic circle...

Sorry mate, According to U.S. Geological Survey, there is an estimated technically recoverable oil of 5 - 16 billion barrels of oil. That represents about 1.0-2.5 years of US (not global) consumption ( 20 mil/ day). LOL

I'm not a fan of Osama/Obama or Bush, but if I'm the king of US, I wouldn't be so keen in developing ANWR for that 5-16 billion of oil and cause substantial damage to the environment already treacherous for oil workers. Why not put your resources in developing & researching alt energy and create jobs at the same time?

It will take care of US alone for few more months or years at best even if all the oil can be extracted without incident!

Stop giving 10 billion figures as if it matters a lot and start looking at how much can the oil firms actually extract from deep well per day without blowing up stuffs ( as happened in the GULF OIL DISASTER)
