Quoting: infinitymindboxSo you think the same way. Was there outcry about this scene when IT came out? IT was wildly popular for a summer. Yet when I read IT a couple years back this scene shocked me. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1380835Me too! If that scene wouldve been earlier in the book, I wouldve stopped reading it. But it was near the end....I too was shocked. i feel like writing him a letter telling him hes a perv. Quoting: infinitymindboxSame here. I was a kid when I read that. Little Georgie getting his arm torn off I could handle, but that scene I was like "gross". As an adult when I look back now I'm like "wtf?!" I mean, what was the justification for the scene anyway? As I recall it was the girls idea... What was the motivation? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1375129Didn't they gain some kind of power or insight by "bonding" so powerfully? Remember they also got high together, but it was a 'coming of age' story.
