You know like Boeing does, or Lockheed. Real stuff!

NASA could start with small items, like the sun-visors Astronauts wear to filter out the glare of sunlit objects in Space to see the stars. It would be a multi-BILLION dollar growing industry selling these sun-visors to the Public.

Kids would want them for presents at Birthdays + Christmas.

Adults would buy them just to sit on the beach or in their backyards watching the stars in the daytime.

NASA would become independent from US tax dollars and pay their own way not to mention that these Astronaut sun-visors will make every conspiracy theorists fools thinking NASA never landed a man on the Moon and why there are not stars in any of their pictures.

I'm calling your bluff!

private enterprise won't put a man on the moon..

ironic part is by trying to leave we are learning the hard way we are stuck on this planet for eternity

NASA put a man on the moon with Public money "allegedly" but the equipment developed could be sold to the Public to raise capital to continue paying for their fairytale escapade. NASA could start with these sun-visors.

NASA could sell communication technology of the 60's that had an earth to moon distance without so much of a glitch.

Electric cars = moon sand buggy

Solar home tech = ISS <-- no electric bills for NASA

I need a pair of those sun-visors.

Want to see the stars during the daytime.

Who's got connection with NASA?

Where can we buy the old astronaut helmets?

NASA should use the Hubble Space telescope to take pictures of the Apollo 11 lunar landing site and sell them as souvenirs.

Actually many of the things in your home are a product of the space age and the push into space.

CAT scanner: this cancer-detecting technology was first used to find imperfections in space components.

Computer microchip: modern microchips descend from integrated circuits used in the Apollo Guidance Computer.

Cordless tools: power drills and vacuum cleaners use technology designed to drill for moon samples.

Ear thermometer: a camera-like lens that detects infrared energy we feel as heat was originally used to monitor the birth of stars.

Freeze-dried food: this reduces food weight and increases shelf life without sacrificing nutritional value.

Insulation: home insulation uses reflective material that protects spacecraft from radiation.

Invisible braces: teeth-straightening is less embarrassing thanks to transparent ceramic brace brackets made from spacecraft materials.

Joystick: this computer gaming device was first used on the Apollo Lunar Rover.

Memory foam: created for aircraft seats to soften landing, this foam, which returns to its original shape, is found in mattresses and shock absorbing helmets.

Satellite television: technology used to fix errors in spacecraft signals helps reduce scrambled pictures and sound in satellite television signals.

Scratch resistant lenses: astronaut helmet visor coating makes our spectacles ten times more scratch resistant.

Shoe insoles: athletic shoe companies adapted space boot designs to lessen impact by adding spring and ventilation.

Smoke detector: Nasa invented the first adjustable smoke detector with sensitivity levels to prevent false alarms.

Water filters: Both the ones used in industry to provide bottled water and the one that you most likely have in your kitchen.

There is more - much more, from velcro to cell phone technologies, even the paint job on your car comes from the methods developed by NASA to produce hardy, wear resistant coatings.

Teflon (used in cooking and used in medical parts), Silver-stone (the black coating used in cook were)...

The list is longer than this.

It can't. The moon is too bright when the area you want to view is in sunlight and too dark when its out of the sunlight.

Optics do not allow for this sort of thing.
