I remember thinking how great this was and wondered where could I get some dichloroacetate, but then that was the last I ever heard of it until now.

I know. I had just moved to Canada around this time and it was on the news up here. So, I guess that is where I heard it.

I hope your thread generates a lot of interest. I have lost too many friends and family to cancer. I wish they would just release the cure already.

Cancer is a multi-million dollar industry for Big pharma and the medical association. They build huge cancer centers and spend millions on "TREATING" cancer, but they do not want to cure it. The billions that have been spent on cancer research since the 70's would have cured cancer many times over, but they spend millions more on treating it. Like diabetes, they spend millions on how to treat it, but a simple enzyme could easily kick start insulin production in any diabetic.

It is all a money game, full of lies, deceit and greed.

yeah, how would big pharma make MORE money then? if the patient survived chemo they push pain-killers etc.

"no long-term effects, oh, can't have that!"

And they will KILL to continue to keep it quiet. They will spend millions to downplay and discredit it, so they can continue to rip off the insurance companies and the public.

When I first read this, I was thinking I wouldn't be surprised if this treatment somehow involves iodine! Well, I was right!

Here is an exerpt from the article linked to by OP:

I Googled the main ingredient used in the cure - dichloroacetate (aka dichloroacetic acid) - and discovered that it is from the family of haloacetic acids. Here is the definition of Haloacetic acids:

"A family of organic compounds based on the acetic acid molecule (CH3COOH) where one or more hydrogen atoms attached to carbon atoms are replaced by a halogen (chlorine, bromine, fluorine and/or iodine). OP's article states that the new-found cancer cure dichloroacetate is currently used to treat metabolic disorders. Hmmmm..... What gland controls metabolism in the body? The thyroid gland! Iodine is a NECESSARY nutrient that is REQUIRED for the thyroid gland to make thyroid hormone. Iodine is part of the dichloroacetic acid molecule! Dichloroacetic acid in the form of dichloroacetate is what they used to kill the cancer!

This explains why the drug does not require a patent! Because it's a naturally occuring substance - iodine!

I am familiar with this drug we used it on race horses to block the buildup of acetic acid from anerobic processes during exercise and thus prevent fatigue giving the horse greater endurance. I am not sure it really worked well to enhance preformance though. However, it must work to somehow alkinalize the blood I would guess. Their is a new type of alkaline water that is now out that makes the same claims(to cure cancer) so perhaps there is something to it.

Someone at Rutgers U. did a paper and experiment on it to see if it would inhibit the build up of acetic acid he did this by administering DCA to one group of rats and none to the control group. He then placed them in a bucket of water, placed a washer on their tail and timed them to see how each groups endurance was enhanced by swiming them to exhaustion(i.e.- sinking). The group that recieved the DCA swam about 3 seconds longer. THIS IS A TRUE STORY, NO KIDDING.

Unfortunately, it is not routinely manufactured. Veterinarians had to purchase the drug thru a formulary pharmacy by placing an order for the compound and having them compound it specifically for them. It is not manufactured by any human or veterinary corporate drug company I am aware of and it is a caustic drug. It is to be given intravenously and if some is injected outside the vein it causes great inflamation.

There is no iodine in DCA that I am aware of in it's original state, there are 2 chlorine molecule hence the word dichloro. Perhaps other similar compounds contain Iodine but DCA does not, as I used it in my veterinary practice as I stated above. I believe it must work somehow on the alkinization of the blood.

There Are many alternative therapys that cure cancer. The best is without chemical altogether. You should watch "the beautiful truth". It's on instant Netflix if u have it or look it up on YouTube, it's there too. A doctor found in the early 1900s that a fresh foods diet can cure a whole line of diseases including cancer and tb. They are not allowed to have alternative therapy in the the us, which is crazy to me. Watch the documentary, it's amazing.
