Researchers at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Canada have cured cancer last week, yet there is a little ripple in the news or in TV. It is a simple technique using very basic drug. The method employs dichloroacetate, which is currently used to treat metabolic disorders. So, there is no concern of side effects or about their long term effects.

I know. I had just moved to Canada around this time and it was on the news up here. So, I guess that is where I heard it.

I hope your thread generates a lot of interest. I have lost too many friends and family to cancer. I wish they would just release the cure already.

Firstly all thing need to be tested which to do properly takes time and money. Secondly it needs to be approved again time and money. Thirdly,why do you expect to happen when someone finds a cheap cure.. corrupt governments and Pharmaseutical comapnies and hospitals have little interest cheap and simple medicines that have no intrinsic long-term profit value to them, ... it defies the current rationale for higher and more ever increasing proced treatments

Perhap the system could be changed by direct action. Why don't you and others an investment group together, contact the candian company and invest in the stuff. Perhap create a new Not-for-profit company and distribution network to challenge the system. But please stop sitting on you arses moaning when you know what the system is.

When I first read this, I was thinking I wouldn't be surprised if this treatment somehow involves iodine! Well, I was right!

Here is an exerpt from the article linked to by OP:

I Googled the main ingredient used in the cure - dichloroacetate (aka dichloroacetic acid) - and discovered that it is from the family of haloacetic acids. Here is the definition of Haloacetic acids:

"A family of organic compounds based on the acetic acid molecule (CH3COOH) where one or more hydrogen atoms attached to carbon atoms are replaced by a halogen (chlorine, bromine, fluorine and/or iodine). There are nine species of HAAs including monochloroacetic acid (MCAA), dichloroacetic acid (DCAA), and dibromoacetic acid (DBAA). OP's article states that the new-found cancer cure dichloroacetate is currently used to treat metabolic disorders. Hmmmm..... What gland controls metabolism in the body? The thyroid gland! Iodine is a NECESSARY nutrient that is REQUIRED for the thyroid gland to make thyroid hormone. Iodine is part of the dichloroacetic acid molecule! Dichloroacetic acid in the form of dichloroacetate is what they used to kill the cancer!

This explains why the drug does not require a patent! Because it's a naturally occuring substance - iodine!

Clearly we need a new law in this country that goes something like this:

If a person, organization or company, of the USA, ignores or hides a product, discovery or anything valuable from the people of the United States, that entity will be treated as a traitor and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Lets call our congressmen and start demanding this immediately.

Cancer is a multi-million dollar industry for Big pharma and the medical association. They build huge cancer centers and spend millions on "TREATING" cancer, but they do not want to cure it. The billions that have been spent on cancer research since the 70's would have cured cancer many times over, but they spend millions more on treating it. Like diabetes, they spend millions on how to treat it, but a simple enzyme could easily kick start insulin production in any diabetic.

It is all a money game, full of lies, deceit and greed.
