I don't know, I am just making a point, they pour millions of dollars into research, and they know the exact mechanisms that cause insulin production to stop, and they know the exact mechanism that would cause it to start up again. But they would rather spend millions of dollars on new and elaborate ways to treat an ailment, because if they didn't, it would seriously effect their profit margin. If you don't read between the lines and realize why the medical profession and big pharma don't want universal health care, it would seriously hurt their huge profits, because healthcare would no longer be a matter of greed, but actual healthcare.
If the medical community started actually curing disease, many would lose their jobs.
