I've been describing it for years as the education INDUSTRY

It is and industry. You pay your money, walk through the door, and a few years later they kick you to the kerb. There are always new suckers desperate to get in. And they make a fortune off the foreigners who are still blinded enough by old movies they've seen, that they imagine a Western education will set them up for life

They have a strict system of rewards. And these are sold off to foreign students -- for MORE money. The Westerners are allocated the lower scores

A professor at Sydney university finally went public about that scam. His peers claimed to be similarly outraged. They said they'd back him. But when push came to shove, his colleagues hid in the woodwork and let him take the brunt of government outrage on his own

The sacked him for telling the truth. He moved to a 'lesser' university. Said he'd be happy to just teach now, instead of having to deal with dirty politics. Then he discovered the lesser-university also ordered him to allocate to top grades to foreign students (in exchange for money). Once again he went public. Once again he was sacked. Corruption destroyed the whistle-blower. It served as a warning to all others to keep their mouths shut if they wanted to work and eat and pay their mortgage

And hundreds of delighted Asian students and their parents flew back to Asia, clutching phony degrees and top recommendations in their sweaty hands, which they hoped to parlay into 'top jobs' back home, or (more preferred) in the US and UK

What happened to the Aussie students, good students, who'd been ripped off and who were staring in dismay at far lower grades than they believed (quite rightfully in many instances) they deserved ? They had to suck it up. They had to convince themselves (those who didn't know the truth) that maybe they weren't as smart as they'd always believed and had always been told they were

It's a scam. It's an industry. It's a disgrace, like the medical and insurance and banking industries

So that's all you need to bear in mind. It's not 'tertiary education' --- it's and INDUSTRY. An industry that sells a bill of goods and leaves its customers empty-handed

It's an industry that sells dreams. And very often, those dreams vanish like smoke the moment the 'client' walks out the door to face a lifetime of debt

Yeah, I saw it was posted at 7:05 but when I saw it got a whooping 2 hits, I figured I would try to bring it the attention it deserves. I just finished watching this video and it is quite good, very educational.

I watched it. Very interesting, but I couldn't help but feel as if it was a commercial for buying silver.
