Manmade satellites get drawn back to Earth because their low orbit means they have a small amount of friction from the thin atmosphere which slows them down.

However, recent discoveries have proved the mass of the Sun is increasing because plasma and celestial objects being trapped by its gravity are attracted to it. We also know that particles with mass emitted from the Sun do not escape it's gravity field and are eventually drawn back into it, for a fact.
We haven't measured any change in distance between the Earth and Sun because the time we have had the technology to measure the distance is very short.
The answer is not to be found in Paleontology either, since we have went through periods of cooling and heating repeatedly with a general trend towards a gradual cooling. It is believed this cooling is a result of atmospheric changes and not changes in the Earth Sun distance, although many will argue the Earth was once closer to the Sun this is highly unlikely, since 5 millions miles closer and the planet would be a barren dustball. The real answer is we don't know but if empirical ata is analyzed honestly, chances are eventually the Earth will show due to friction from interplanetary plasma and the gravitational attraction of the Sun will slowly increase, remaining at some time in the very distance future the Earth will fall into the sun.
The Moon is moving away due to the well understood process of tidal friction.

Since the moon is NOT slowing but it getting further from the Earth it stands to reason that the moon was put into a carefully calculated orbit, almost but not quite balanced.
