QUESTION FOR DEMOCRATS/LIBERALS
I am not starting this thread to argue with dems/liberals, I just want to know where they are coming from and their thought process and such.

So my question is: As a leftist why would you vote for 4 more yrs of obama? It seems the right would like him more than the left now. He has just pushed along bush's agenda, with wars, guantonimo, patriot act, tax breaks, indefinite detention, and so on, the list is quite long. These are all things dems oppose, so I dont understand why you would still vote for him.

Is it because you would rather have him than any other repub? And if so, dont you think it's wrong to vote for someone just because you dont like the other candidate?
Also, would you be willing to vote Ron Paul? He is fiscally conservative but socially he is pretty liberal as are most libertarians.

thx for your replies.

Re: QUESTION FOR DEMOCRATS/LIBERALS
I'm about as liberal as they come and I'm not planning on voting for him again. I'm not planning on voting for anyone. Maybe a third party candidate, but I doubt I'll ever bother voting in anything other than local elections, ever again. It's become completely obvious to me that Dems, at least at the upper level of politics, are just as sociopathic and/or gutless as their so-called opponents on the so-called other side of the aisle. Why would I want to help lend this farce the aura of legitimacy?

Re: QUESTION FOR DEMOCRATS/LIBERALS
Oh, and as for your question re. Ron Paul -- I doubt I'd vote for him.

IMO anyone who gets up to that level is either a sell-out or being used as controlled opposition to make you think you have a choice.

Re: QUESTION FOR DEMOCRATS/LIBERALS
I'm a leftist(anarchist) I did vote for O because I thought with the way he was talking that he would actually be the president to help the people and turn America around. Boy was i wrong!!! Now I don't plan on voting in the next election. Nobody cares about you, Nobody will help you. They all have their own agenda. They all only care about making sure they get theirs. That's my feelings right now. The last few years with O in the white house has really rooted my belief that the people need to be the ones in charge. Of course we all have to learn to put aside our petty differences first and then we can work toward the common goal of bettering mankind and making our country a great place to be again. Re: QUESTION FOR DEMOCRATS/LIBERALS
I'm an R who voted for Obama and will likely do the same unless the R's get some quality on the table.

But, should Ron Paul run and be given a real chance by his party and the MSM then yes...I hope I get to make that consideration.

I will consider any solid candidate who has a chance to win...but guys like Mitt, Newt, Trump, Huckabee are all garbage.

I don't know about that. But, over the years, the majority of people who ran for office were totally lame. Was it Kurt Vonnegut who wrote "only nut cases want to be president".

This is a pretty powerful and extremely relevant list/discussion of this topic.

It goes to illustrate that indeed; it does not matter who you vote for because most of policy is determined by civilian (non-elected, appointed, employees) members of many, many federal institutions. these institutions when examined will bleed into corporate entities faster than you can say "geopolitical economic motivators".

I'd highly suggest a read of People's History of America by Howard Zinn
[link to www.historyisaweapon.com]

and Killing Hope by William Blum
[link to killinghope.org]

and read about the United States Senate Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities: ( Church Committee )

then watch The Money Masters

then watch Collapse

Now take a DEEP BREATH, and tell yourself that your government would NEVER LIE TO YOU

YOUR GOVERNMENT DOES NOT LIE TO YOU.

Much love.

I would if I could.

Not because I agree with each and every of his standpoints (I don't) but because I’m sure he wouldn’t bow to powerful lobbies.

We'll all be better off not having another shallow dink with no discernment jacking off in the voting booth. Again.
