Again, I escaped from the Christianity mind control years ago. I do not try to earn anyone's favor. I simply live from my heart. I awake each day and ask God to lead me to the path of those who could use some help. And He/She does. All one has to do is be willing to be of service and have open heart, eyes and ears.
Now why would I follow these whisperings if I did not have faith? I have complete faith that everything is exactly as it should be, according to God's plan, not my own. In God's time, not my own.
Jesus Christ came as a Heavenly teacher and taught us very clearly how to live. There is really no comparison between Christian and Christ-like. Some live a Christian life, I try more to follow the example Jesus Christ taught.
You may think I am picking on you same ones who reply to this post, but I am merely pointing out the teachings of Jesus. Jesus had no logs in his eyes and neither do I. It is a clear feeling, from the heart, when I come across those who are living in a way that is less than Light. That is why I respond to this post. Loving and being in service to God is much more than memorizing bible verses. It is holding all of his creation in our hearts. It is using our precious hands and allowing compassion for those who have less than we do. It is sharing the love of God and Jesus through our actions. It is setting a Christ-like example.
Everything we do returns back to us sooner or later. I try to make sure that the seeds I sow are those of love, faith, compassion and right living.
Just the fact that you few view this as "working for God's favor or working to get into Heaven" tells me you do not live from your Heart. If you did, you would hear the true and pure whisperings and get out and do some good in this world.
