None accepted, as I recall, because the culture was too different, weather much colder

However, i still think Connecticut, Vermont and Massachusetts would be a nice place for people to start fresh :)

The people there are very welcoming and kind, and not racist at all

Pennsylvania is also a great place that way, and I'm sure would volunteer to take in many refugees

When I lived in Tulsa OK I hired 5 different Katrina "refugees", thinking I was doing my part. 2 (a husband and wife) stole every last drop of liquor they could get their hands on. The other 3 just flat out stole money. (all were white btw)
