are baby einstein dvd's safe for children?

as far as i know, they are great for keeping toddlers occupied. many mom's use them and awear by them to have 30 minutes of time to get something done while the kiddies are watching Baby Einstein. I've watched a few and i don't see the fascination, but i'm not a kid.

No TV while their brains are developing, IMO.

baby mozart, and baby beethoven next.

Kids turn off their brains while watching tv. They could be doing much better stuff.

I don't know if they are safe for children -- never considered eating them. I'll report back later on my findings.
