i'd think so. I'm a few months behind you, and if she was not only willing to keep secrets but believed in the complete opposite of what I did. Its not going to work.

You're comparing apples and oranges. There are many more vaccines given today than 30 years ago. I wouldn't take, or let my children get vaccinations today.
The vaccines are the main reason that there is nearly one autistic child in 100 today.

I research all vaccines & weigh the risks of getting them or not.

If a disease doesn't cause death I question a vaccine, but if my children could die if infected it outweighs the risk. I decline any flu vaccines for my entire family because they do not work period.

You can't go to far to one side on issues like these. No vaccines could be bad, but getting every vaccine could be dangerous too. Try finding the middle ground.

Research all vaccines offered to kids objectively. Don't just look up your side of it, but research both sides of the vaccine argument. then sit down with your wife to talk about which ones should be declined.

I cannot believe this shit.... I've never been more furious than I am now. I am married to a fucking sheeple. Worst thing is she promised she would not do anything in regards to vaccinating without my consent. This is bullshit. I pray my daughter is going to be okay. This explains her high. Temperature she had last week......

I know this will turn into a vaccine debate very quickly, but the real point here is that you are married to a women that doesn't believe in your ability to make decisions for your child nor does she respect you enough to tell you that. If your daughter is still young and your wife is already displaying this type of behavior you may want to do what 70% of married people do and cut your losses. The sooner the better. Divorcing while a kid is older can cause problems. I don't even like to think about how disappointed I would be if my girl took my son for a routine poisoning and never even told me. Autism is nothing to take lightly.

Tell your wife that when your daughter needs her nappy changed for the rest of her life your wife can do it.

Hold on people, let's think about this a minute. She believes that it was the best way to keep her child from getting sick and possibly dying of something. Many people do not believe that the government would do anything to harm us. It doesn't matter what you tell them they still will not buy it. I do believe that she should have told you but you wouldn't have allowed it so just talk to her about it. Explain why you didn't want her doing it. Many people don't feel the way we do and they probably will not until something major happens. Just talk it over with her, don't call it quits we may not have that much time left and you do have a child with her :)

This guy is right. But the problem is that the courts will see it as a positive for your wife and you will look like the crazy person for not wanting to vaccinate your kid. The main issue I see with this (Other than poisoning your kid) Is that she lied about it. If she will lie about this, she will lie about anything, she is not on board with you as a parent. There is no way you can continue to live like that. I also am furious and its not my kid. I would do everything in my power to get my kid away from that crap. However I will warn you if you use the vaccinations as a reason it will only make you look bad, the sheeple which govern us think vaccines are great and by denying a kid vaccines you are putting them at risk. I would develop a plan to leave without using that as an excuse. I'm sure there are others you can find.

I am a woman and this is deplorable. Me and my husband take our 8 month old to a holistic pediatrician/MD we found. There main thing is a no vac policy. Our baby's first pediatrician gave us hell when the 2/3 month vac issue came up and WE declined each time (had to sign some papers too acknowledging this much).

NEVER GIVE IN. Sad to think your wife went against the grain. If it was worth celebrating she could've told you but obviously she knew it was against what you proposed and so she had to sneak around. That means you have one "messy" and untrustworthy wife.

You are now entitled to go down to the main courthouse to get pro se divorces paperwork done. Your wife is a liability and with this economy going to shit you need to take her betrayl as a sign of the worse to come.

Shame on her for not protecting your child and disregarding your wishes.

Solid point. You are in quite the situation. You have the option to split from your wife and risk her getting most of the custody or you can stay with her and learn about all her secrets from your daughter as she gets older. Welcome to being a shell of a man. Marriage can do that.

Then after the baby is born, it is the mother who is woken up like every half hour to breast feed while daddy sleeps away for a straight seven hours.

Now, you have to sit down and come to an agreement. Like a previous poster said--since you don't want any and she wants all the vaccines--you have to decide which ones to get.

Autism is caused, supposedly (and I say that just cuz there is no proof, and I don't say that lightly because my kids are probably statistics of vaccine induced autism) by the vaccines which are packaged in multi-doses, the mercury is just an additive to keep it fresh while it sits in the fridge waiting for the other doses to be given out. Just get a one time vaccine that doesn't need the preservative.

I'd agree with the advice of not pushing the vaccination issue as your reason for divorcing her though. You'll only get in trouble with the authorities for it, and they're already biased against the man as it is. Don't give them any reason to punish you any more than they're going to anyway.

OP, it was not wise for you to ask for the opinion of many GLPers who are but mere kids or lonely men who haven't much experience with finding there love, and even sharing something as amazing as a child. We haven't many days left my friend,and if you dont believe that, believe that when your wife looks into your babies eyes, she can see the same little bundle of love that you do, and she only wishes to keep her little girl safe. Try to understand that you not believing in vaccines, althoug reasonable, isn't common, and im not sure if she ever argued tha with you, but she did accept your opinion. Yes she betrayed your trust, but out of pure love. So the only thing you can do is let go. Embrace you wife with just as much love as you ever have, and in a loving manner, explain to her, how you felt a bit disrespected in her decision, help her understand, dont just vent your frustration on her. We don't believe that it "does more harm than good" we just understand that they refuse to do long term testing and the Autism statistics are not worth the risk. When it comes to your child a risk of even 5% is too high. My child will grow up in America side by side with vaccinated children which means he won't need vaccinations because he will already be "living in a bubble". It would take a seriously bizarre circumstance for a disease that isn't present in this country to get through what is essentially an enormous wall of vaccinated children and reach my child. That aside. I don't get my timing belt changed on my car before it is even necessary and I wouldn't treat my child for a disease that now has a cure, but a questionably dangerous one. I will expose my child to that risk only when they show signs of the disease. Which is beyond highly unlikely.

It's difficult when one parent wants to vaccinate and one doesn't. Luckily both my husband and I both agreed on not vaccinating but what do you do if you both don't agree. The pressure to vaccinate your child is extreme! I've been yelled at by doctors for not vaccinating my kids but finally found a doc that was OK with it. Do you live in a state that requires vaccines for entrance to school? Only a few states will let your child attend school without vaccinations. Most states have a medical exemption if your child has an underlying medical condition preventing them from getting vaccinated but good luck finding a doc to back that up. We're lucky - in Michigan, we can still claim a philosophical exemption but still I think my kids have always been the only ones not vaccinated in school - thus, messing up the school's perfect vaccination records. Just saying though, unless you're planning on home schooling or your state is OK with it - some states literally force vaccines on you! But, I would be pissed off no doubt, especially if you feel that strongly about it.
