Money gone to shit... Why not just return to bartering?

If the US dollar aint gonna be worth anything, why would you try buy anything with it under hyper inflation?

Couldn't you just go back to a traditional bartering system such as I'll give you my younger sister for that cow, a dozen eggs and a goat? Sure it might be a pain in the ass to accomplish until typical standards are established, but least a loaf of bread won't cost more than a years salary.

This kind of system is already in place in Australia, where we have a barter card, where businesses scratch each others backs through discounting.
