Power transformers on the grid can blow during periods of instability in the ionosphere and for other reasons, but this is because they are hooked up to long lines which act as an antenna with a large cross section. Batteries would be totally immune. My guess is bad luck |

Replacing a Battery is so easy just make notes of what is hooked up to what before you dismantle. red/black easy. With the alternator same thing, just make notes of what you are taking apart. The hard part is getting the part. =p |

Mine was on the verge of exploding, from a seriously crappy design flaw in my car. It's in a box, below the computer and keeps overheating, haven't been able to make it to the two year mark with one yet. |
