Woman arrested on train for talking loudly on phone for 16 HOURS!
As if it isn't hard enough to get to sleep on overnight journeys, one group of unlucky passengers shared a carriage with a woman who talked loudly on her mobile phone for 16 hours. In the end she was arrested.

Lakeysha Beard of Tigard, Oregon, was charged with disorderly conduct after police were called by Amtrak staff following continued complaints from passengers.

Police said the 39-year-old became aggressive and was involved in a 'verbal altercation' when asked to be quiet during the journey from Oakland, California to Salem, Oregon.

From one ring of HELL to another....
'When Plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men,
they create for themselves, in the course of time,
a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it.'
Frederic Bastiat, 'The Law'
1850

"The business of the journalists is to destroy the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it, and what folly is this toasting an independent press? We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes."
JohnSwinton, 1830-1901, Former chief-of-staff New York Times

"The bold effort the present bank has made to control the Government, the distress it has wantonly produced ... are but premonitions of the fate that awaits the American People should they be deluded into a perpetuation of this institution (The Bank of the United States), or the establishment of another like it." At the root of almost every transportation problem in America is a woman on a cell phone.

Re: Woman arrested on train for talking loudly on phone for 16 HOURS!
some people are extremely inconsiderate. I get forced to ride the bus sometimes, and as often as not some jerk, sits there blathering away, spewing a mindless droll, and you hear only half the conversation.
I haven't actually cracked yet, and told anyone to STFU, but it might happen sooner or later.
The worst, is when they yak in one of their primative googen languages.

Arrest is going to far. Better to exhaust all diplomacy first, failing that, I would use a tactic of verbal interference, that would interrupt the persons ability to carry on conversation, until they stopped. But of course I'm not in the situation and that idea my not occur.

I was camping last summer and the Dick in the site next to us had 20 people on his site, all pissed up, and swearing his head off all night long. We had a drive planned for the entire next day, and it just about killed us.
I got up and started swearing at the top of my voice, at 6:00 a.m. hoping the asshole would wake up, because i was gonna knock him out. As we pulled out, I yanked out his hydro cord. We we`re gonna cut the end of the cord off, steal all his bikes, and use the valve stem puller to take the valve stems out and flatten the tires on his truck, then throw his shit in the ditch someplace down the highway, but it just wasn`t worth the legal risk.

Next time....

You must be nuts if you believe any human would talk for 16 hours on a mobile phone. She was just communicating with her mother ship. The invasion has begun.

Apparently it's possible to do this with a cell phone battery.

Well, obviously it would be impossible to talk on one cell phone for 16 hours.

Therefore, considering her name, the only logical conclusion is that she is either a drug dealer or prostitute and was using multiple cell phones to take care of her "business."

I had to look it up. Some phone batteries (2g) have 24 hour talking time. If it were a simple phone it could probably do 16 hours. Do I believe it? Nah. No one sits in a seat for 16 hours straight.

Only a black woman can run the mouth like that. No one else wants to hear themselves talk that much.
