Everytime i would doze off lastnight i would slip in and out of it for about an hour. Has anyoneon here ever given in?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1364041I'm not sure what you mean by giving in though?
I remember getting these in my younger years. Weird thing was that it always felt like i knew or woke up right before it happens. Also felt like the paralysis is from the back somewhere along the spine area. I gotta admit that the waking up though is from a feeling of terror then the paralysis occurs.
It was kind of like that for a long while until one night it happened I got really pissed off and tried to fight through the paralysis... even managed to lift one arm up and made a 'giving the middle finger' to something behind me.... and those kind of stopped since that time.
There has been more rare ones, but when i get that terror feeling, i just switch positions like laying on my back and those never set in and was able to sleep.
I looked into the night-paralysis/terror idea a bit, and saw that it was usually attributed to nervous system/physiological sources, but when it happens it just doesn't feel that way though...
Sounds crazy right? I'd really like to hear if other people have similar experiences and explanations.
