Yup, this is not funny anymore, we had 4+, 5+ for a long time but 6+ on the West Coast, we are witnessing what will be a major worldwide event in a few hours or days.

What does it mean? Everything seems to be happening so close together.

materialize in a couple of hours(3 to 4hours)

Here's the legend on how to read Seismogram

Yellow wiggle = Vertical seismogram

Blue-yellow-red region below seismogram = spectrogram showing relative energy at different frequencies with time. The hotter the colors (redder), the more energy in that frequency. Local earthquakes have energy across the spectrum, while distant earthquakes show energy only at lower frequencies (across bottom of plot only).

These images are normally filtered to retain signal between 0.025 and 1 hz (band-pass filtered between 40 and 1 second). This removes some long-period noise, and some building noise. Waveform is more sensitive to large distant earthquakes.
Note: spectrogram is unfiltered.

Yes that signal should manifest into an EQ in about 3 to 4 hours ..

Now let's get back to work here. Seems like the Bz has been at rock bottom these past few days and I have noticed that when this happens a lot of quakes seem to pop up.

Significant earthquake precursor signal detected on 02/15/12 at 1404utc/0905est. Possible 4 to 5.

Radio Direction Finder has signal coming in East of France from somewhere out in the Northern, Mid to Southern portions of the Pacific plate to Alaska, Canada and Chile.


I will try and stay around to monitor today, as it seems things are heating up seismically.

I just love the way they manipulate these numbers!

You notice how there has not been any aftershocks for the 6.0 off the coast of Oregon.

Something is brewing out there on the west coast IMHO.

Imagine a Japan 9.0 type quake on the West coast of the USA. That would be so much more disastrous than the Japan disaster minus the Nuclear threat.
