The recent earthquake swarm at Coso Volcanic Field in California seems to be over. The swarm which began in late November included hundreds of events ranging from less than magnitude 0.0 to M3.7, at depths of >10 km at the beginning to shallow 2 km near the end of the swarm. nz has just been informed that my local volcano, white island, has recently developed spiny domes, never before has this happened, and it would seem it heralds the likelyhood of a new much more dangerous style of eruption never seen before at white island volcano

Figures...the seismos were kicking up last night. They show a lot of activity today, too. Will wait until after 5:00 to check again. Work, if they are working, stops around that time. Right now they look wild.

Wow...we just heard rumbling and felt this weird vibration it was like bump, bump. bump but faster like a bounce? Only lasted a few seconds strange
