If you look at the live earthquake incident map you'll see that there's quite an earthquake swarm happening in Europe right now. This has been ongoing for well over a week, so the couple of larger quakes that happened yesterday and today were no big surprise. Most of the activity is happening at the Greece/Turkey end of the Med, so I think Spain/Portugal are probably fairly safe for now.

Are these quakes happening any where near the Santorini volcano? I read an article a couple of weeks ago that said it was filling with lava again.

I'm very afraid of the med situation... we know that we can have an M9 anytime like in 1755...

Looks like an uptick in M5+. 4 in last 24 hrs. All within last 12 hrs.

Governor Declares Disaster As Southcentral Flooding Continues
The National Weather Service has extended the flood warning for sections of the Tanana River into Sunday.

907 am AKDT sat sep 22 2012...flood warning in effect from 807 am AKDT to 1215 pm AKTD Sunday for the Nenana River from carlo creek to its mouth at the Tanana River...the National Weather Service in Fairbanks has extended the* flood warning for nenana river from Carlo Creek to its mouth at

The Tanana River* until 1215 pm AKDT sunday* the Nenana River at healy remains at flood stage. The river has remained at the flood crest since Friday afternoon with the river gage at the bridge at Healy reading 14.7 feet at 7am Sat.

Flooding has been observed in the Healy Canyon area near the Denali Park entrance as well. This is the highest open water level on record for the Nenana River at Healy. The Nenana River is now cresting along most of its length from Carlo Creek to its mouth at the city of Nenana.

you can also adjust the mag on the left to show lower than 5 I actually like this new page better because it gives you exact locations and details if you hit the location it takes you to the detail page automatically on the current page you have to go through 3.

There was another 5 after that today, I won't hear from them until they get back. I have googled Greece earthquake damage but can't seem to find anything current.

Edit: just did a little digging, on emsc, there is damage but it looks like rural area, Athens seems far enough away that friends should be out of danger. This is why I don't travel far from home much lately. Something tells me to stay put.

I just saw these I don't think this is good as it's right on the trench a few weeks ago there was a lot of activity same area that's when all the buoy's were going off

This buoy has been in alert mode since yesterday and was going off when trench had last big quake about 3 weeks ago but 2 minute news said something about it was a data error today? Time will tell I guess.
