Geez, folks. Everyday the sinkhole news gets worse and worse. Now they're worried about the whole area sinking. The whole salt dome! I'm so sick of having to get ready to bug out from hurricanes and now this! Sinkhole Briefing: “Whole area” being monitored for subsidence — Concern about stability of “entire dome” — Residents ask if venting gas out of ground could cause further collapse (VIDEO) [ link to enenews.com] It's 1 mile by 3 miles wide. If it sinks completely, it would be the biggest natural disaster this country has ever witnessed. It is truly a horrible situation, El Q. I really believe this is connected to the DWH fiasco in the Gulf. Matt Simmons was spot on and look where it got him. A lot of people will have a lot of blood on their hands if this thing goes. r.i.p. matt simmons. a very courageous man.
