Power Outage in USA on Friday, 30 November, 2012 at 05:11 (05:11 AM) UTC.
A widespread power outage has been reported just outside Boston where MIT and Harvard University are located. NStar utility spokesman Mike Durand says about 17,000 customers are affected by Thursday’s power outage in an eastern part of Cambridge, just across the Charles River from Boston. He says the outage is related to a transmission line and is being investigated. NStar’s outage website says about 27 percent of its Cambridge customers are affected.

This information not confirmed!] Iranian nuclear officials are being secretive about the nature of an incident in the Iranian Isfahan nuclear plant that sent many staff members to nearby hospital emergency rooms Wednesday. The head of Iran's Medical Emergency Agency told reporters that staff members of an Isfahan Nuclear plant "have observed some symptoms." He stressed that all medical emergency units in Iran should be ready to "confront nuclear incidents." "Those who have been around UCF Isfahan, have shown symptoms and are receiving treatment," said Gholamreza Masoumi to Iranian state-run news agencies. He did not mention a specific time for the incident nor did he volunteer any details about the nature of it.

A major rail accident was averted in the Ernakulam-Kayamkulam passenger near Alappuzha railway station.
Eight persons, including women in the bogey were safe. No one was hurt in the incident. The second bogey from the train engine which houses the luggage room on both its end was involved in the accident. The rusting of the parts is the reason behind the incident, as per primary investigations.

Emergency service officials in Kazakhstan say they have found the wreckage of a helicopter that went missing earlier this week with eight people onboard. The Emergency Services Ministry said Thursday that it believes all eight occupants were killed, but that only six bodies have so far been located. The Russian-made Mi-8 helicopter was being leased to a Kazakh-Chinese oil pipeline construction company.

Moscow’s City Hall said it expects the snowstorm, which is due to continue at least until Friday morning, to be the biggest in November in 50 years. The roads in the capital have been clogged up since early Thursday morning and about 70 flights from Moscow’s largest airport, Domodedovo, were disrupted overnight.
