Does this look like an Aborigine to you?
[link to en.wikipedia.org]

This fellow looks like an Apache, Sioux, or just about any American Indian. Yet he is classified as a Taiwanese Aborigine!

What a crime.

Remember, Taiwan was not an island 15,000+/- years ago.

And the Tsou people of Taiwan are not Aborigine, nor did they make a canoe and paddle from the US to Taiwan.

They friggin walked as the water rose 600 feet during a time span of about 500 years.

We will never know what lies on the ocean floor from today's shoreline to -600 feet.

PITY.

Main article:
[link to en.wikipedia.org]

The government of Taiwan officially recognizes distinct tribes among the indigenous community based upon the qualifications drawn up by the Council of Indigenous Peoples (CIP) (Ericsson 2004). To gain this recognition, tribes must gather a number of signatures and a body of supporting evidence with which to successfully petition the CIP. Formal recognition confers certain legal benefits and rights upon a group, as well as providing them with the satisfaction of recovering their separate identity as a tribe. As of May 2008, 14 tribes have been recognized.

Recognized
Ami, Atayal, Bunun, Kavalan, Paiwan, Puyuma, Rukai, Saisiyat, Tao, Thao, Tsou, Truku, Sakizaya, and Sediq.
Unrecognized
Babuza, Basay, Hoanya, Ketagalan, Luilang, Makatao, Pazeh/Kaxabu, Popora, Qauqaut, Siraya, Taokas, Trobiawan.

Aborigine means original inhabitant, not simply the Aborigines in Australia. To say he is a Tawainese Aborigine means he was part of tribal groups there before whatever settlers came from other areas.

If only you know the human migration pattern, OP.

The Native Americans' ancestors didn't walk across the bearing straits in one group.

There were several groups of people walking from Asia to America.

The "Tsou" people of Taiwan looks very much like the natives in Borneo island, and they do share common heritage - even their language are similar.
