Well, here's me showing up, but I'm going to have my hands full at least until Friday in order to prepare to observe asteroid 1999 RQ176. When Elenin passes it at 0.002 AUs this Friday and pelts it with its tail, and still this faint little asteroid isn't broken up or even perturbed out of its orbit, it will lay this nonsense to rest once and for all.

It's an incredibly dim object though (dimmer than Elenin), which is why it wasn't even discovered until 1999, so observing it will require extremely long exposures from dark skies. I'm going to be busy until then trying to make sure I can observe it.

I was just going to dump the observation into a pre-existing thread on Elenin, but given how this nonsense is spreading across so many threads I'll make my own thread about the observation and see if it gets pinned.

Searching the internet for supporting evidence while ignoring anything that dismisses their faith is not research. It shouldn't be that hard to figure out what a massive sun or rogue planetary body would do to our solar system (even at long range). It shouldn't be that hard to imagine the speed something would need to travel to hide behind the sun as it approached our solar system for thousands of years (common belief among Nibirutards). Correlation is not causation. The alignments were anything but exact, in some cases they were flat-out lies, and other comets happened to line up just as well as Elenin with the same quakes, in some cases even better. It's called confirmation bias, and again, Friday will PROVE it beyond all doubt.

The "historical data" you cite proves NOTHING, this asteroid approach and alignment will prove your claims dead wrong. End of story. You can deny it till your blue in the face, I don't care. I don't even care if a major earthquake happens in september or not, it means NOTHING if this comet doesn't even effect this small asteroid during a very close approach and alignment.

True, reading a book and researching across the internet is different but it seems to me that Nibirutards lack the most basic understanding of science and our solar system. Seems like some 50 year old books would likely be the best place for them to start.

Most Nibiru-ites find a picture on SOHO or some other NASA image site and immediately claim its Nibiru. Of course, the claim is easily dismissed if you look at the two images before and after (usually within minutes of being taken). Same goes for most of their content. A Nibiru believer will see something that they don't understand and lose their marbles over it and start hoarding food. Having a basic understanding of science would be helpful. Not believing every single deluded claim that NASA and all the world astronomers are in on a massive cover up would also help.

Seriously, look at the video in OPs post. Theres nothing scientific about it. Theres no way for anyone to verify the claims. Its just another bullshit DOOM post and the Nibiru kids fall for it because it fits their reality tunnel.
