S. 325 (1983) [ link to supreme.justia.com]  Similar but this case says you can't sue an agent of the govt for damages after his or her LIES put your ass in jail. No question though, the case you quote also supports the thesis that The System allows its agents to lie in support of The System and further it will shield the agent from monetary damages should the lie be made public. That's how I read it, anyway. yep... you got it... (thanks for taking the time to read it !) per your quote of the article above: Allow me to quote it again:
