Rainbow-colored clouds - what does it mean?

Drove toward Seattle from the Kitsap Penisula (west to east) and noticed very severe chemtrails - the sky was loaded with them - and then there was the rainbows-colored ones.
No rain to cause these rainbows - it is quite hot and dry.
Any ideas?
