Rapture as it's commonly understood is false. Jesus was referring to an event where people would be killed by scalar type weapons

Do you think God will hasten the beast's and the false prophet's arrival by rapturing the Church? I believe it makes more sense that satan will cause a rapture-like event aka project blue beam or by the use of scalar or other high tech weapons.
In this manner he will cause those remaining to be placed under the spell of the false christ that comes on to the scene shortly thereafter. I believe Jesus warned us of the very event when he said in Mathew chapter 24 [40] Then two shall be in the field: one shall be taken, and one shall be left. [41] Two women shall be grinding at the mill: one shall be taken, and one shall be left.

Right after this verse he warns us to be always prepared: [42] Watch ye therefore, because ye know not what hour your Lord will come. [43] But know this ye, that if the goodman of the house knew at what hour the thief would come, he would certainly watch, and would not suffer his house to be broken open. [44] Wherefore be you also ready, because at what hour you know not the Son of man will come. In verse 42 he warns us to be ready for our own death and in verse 44 he warns us to be ready for the Last Coming of Christ.

In closing don't you think God would make it much clearer in the Bible if he intended to rapture his Church. clearer in the specifics and clearer in stating exactly when it was to occur. In fact God made it quite clear in the Apocalypse. He said in chapter 6 verse 9 - chapter 7 verse 17 that he would not rapture the Church but require that they be martyred. (souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held.). My own personal opinion is that God may take certain groups of people, for instance those under the age of reason (7years and below) by plague or other means before it gets really bad. I don't recall God rapturing the Apostles. He required them along with most of the first Christians to be martyred. Why should we expect to be treated any different? I personally would not take the easy way out when it comes to my faith.
