The Parable of the thief is interesting, as Jesus states if a person knew a theif was coming to your home to steal you would watch for him as he was trying to break in...
However:
Most people even though they know theives exist, do not sit and watch for a theif to come into there home, unless someone alerts them, that a theif is in the neighborhood, or the police tells you someone is planning to break into your home, the you perk up and become concerned and look for who is coming..
Camping and his crew are expecting Jesus to come for them, so regardless if he comes tomorrow or 5 years from now they are expecting him and it will not be a suprise...
Mosy people truly are not expecting Jesus to return and yes these are the ones that will be totally caught off guard and left behind.....

You know Watcher, I really know nothing of Harold Camping and his following, I can't judge there heart or sincerity in spreading this date around, I think and this is my opinion only, is that the world, people who really love Jesus and look for his return are trying so hard to make him return, maybe a zeal that is of extreme hope they don't have any more patience like GOD has with us... We must remember Jesus said it would be really really hard in the end days, but we MUST ENDURE to the end, even though people like myself will look up like a child and say sometimes Jesus can't you just come back now???? BUt GOD knows what is best for mankind and we have to put all our trust in him, pray and understand he knows what is best in these last days....
