We didn't need it!!
For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law.... (Romans 2:14)
Per your scriptures, it was already in our nature to be good, so, one must ask, why wasn't it in the nature of the jews to be good?

"And his disciples asked him saying, Master, WHO DID SIN, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?" John 9:2 It does not ask WHAT SIN WAS COMMITTED!! It asks WHO SINNED??!! And jesus answered: "Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents...." Stop twisting what is written!!
