Masanori Naito, director in charge of safety analysis at the Institute of Applied Energy, said, "TEPCO could have conducted similar analysis at an early stage and assumed the meltdown had occurred. [...] so 2 months later...how long before it eats through to water table and blows the fuck up? They didn't realize the extent of the damage at the time. corium + water = instant explosion |
