Breaking News Stewart Co. EMA: Storm Destroys More Than 30 Homes
DOVER, Tenn. -- Stewart County Emergency Management Agency Director Clint Mathis told Channel 4 News that at least 30 homes were destroyed in a storm that swept through Tennessee on Monday evening.
Mathis said injuries have been reported.
Stewart County officials confirmed damage was reported on Cherry Hollow Road, Big Rock Road, Earl Coppage Road, Norris Hancock Road, and Williams Road.

About 30 minutes north of me. Fortunately, it's been relatively quiet here except one small thunder boomer that came through earlier this evening. Ready for tornado season to be over this year. Enough already.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Todd and Christian counties in Kentucky are under a tornado warning until 7:30 p.m.

National Weather Service doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado. This dangerous storm was located near Dover and moving northeast at 65 mph.
The Stewart County sheriff reported at 7 p.m. that in Big Rock, a roof was blown off a house and a trailer was lifted off the ground.
The storm will affect mainly rural areas of northeastern Stewart and northwestern Montgomery counties.
