Quoting: Motion & RestWell I've met Jesus Christ so I really see no reason why Paul did not also meet the Lord. Where did you meet him and what does he look like? By the way true followers don't have fascinations with little schoolgirls. Last Edited by Motion & Rest on 05/24/2011 03:09 PM Meow |

Quoting: Motion & RestWell first off she's obviously 18ish or so, so your cheap jibe misses it's mark. Secondly if you won't believe that Paul has met Jesus Christ as it states in the bible, then why should you believe me. I've stated what I know...take it or leave it. |

If anyone loves the world, love for the Father[d] is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. You have stated nothing of substance. All you have stated is you have met Jesus. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 24088167 Canada 09/19/2012 07:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It must be remembered that Paul never met Jesus. His description of his “conversion” is quite sparse, mentioned or alluded to in just three of his letters: Quoting: Motion & Rest Paul argued that his gospel was the authentic "gospel of Christ" and that "another gospel" (that of James, Peter, and John) was false. His letter to the Galatians contains his argument supporting "Justification/salvation by faith, not by works." However, the Gospel of James (2:14-17) proclaimed: "What does it profit…if a man says he has faith, but has not works? Can his faith save him? If a brother or sister is ill-clad and in lack of daily food, and one of you says to them, `Go in peace, be warmed and filled,' without giving them the things needed for the body, what does it profit? So faith by itself, if it has not works, is dead." The teachings of Jesus, as described by the gospel writers, agreed with James. I Corinthians 9:1: "Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord?" I Corinthians 15:3-8: "For I handed on to you as of first importance what I in turn had received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers and sisters at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me." Galatians 1:11-17: "For I would have you know…that the gospel which was preached by me is not man's gospel, nor was I taught it, but it came through a revelation of Jesus Christ. For you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it…so extremely zealous was I for the traditions of my fathers. But when he who had set me apart before I was born and had called me through his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not confer with flesh and blood, nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia; and again I returned to Damascus." Luke, however, filled in many of the blanks Paul failed to mention in any of his letters to the churches. The problem is, Luke told three versions of Paul’s claimed conversion, and none of the three agree on the details: Paul admitted he had persecuted those who followed Jesus, although he never revealed that he had done so under another name, Saul. If not for Luke, we would not be aware that he had ever been called Saul. If not for Luke's important information about his birth name, Paul could never have been associated with the Saulus whom the Jewish historian Josephus accused of participating in the stoning death of James, Jesus' brother, c. 62, long after Paul's claimed conversion on the road to Damascus. Josephus' Saulus was the grandson of Salome (Saulome?), sister of King Herod the Great. (Josephus, Antiquities, Book 20.9.1-4; www.ccel.org/j/josephus/works/ant-20.htm.) Did James, Peter, and the authentic Apostles accept Paul as "one of them," or did they accuse him of lying? Did their followers accept him as "an authority on the gospel of the Nazarenes," or did they reject his teachings? The answers to these questions can be found in the letters attributed to Paul: [link to www.thenazareneway.com] i met Jesus when i was nine-year-old. He is in my heart forever. do you have any problem with that? if you do. talk to Jesus, unless you haven't met Him yet. have you? :) |

I believe Paul is not a grace preacher as much as he is an abider of the law preacher. Paul cleverly mixes in a message of grace with bold statements of abstinence from sin, that sinners will not inherit the kingdom of God. How obsurd! A good spy makes people think he is for the simple message of Jesus, but confuses just enough to make the preaching of no effect. Jesus said that the entire work of man was to believe in the Son of God. We know what Jesus' work on the cross accomplished for us. However, Paul, the good spy that he is, want s to disrupt that simple message, and so he writes volumes and volumes of letters to hide the Gospel message. Jesus is the "bread of life", not like the bread our ancestors ate in the desert and later died, he who eats Jesus' flesh will live forever! He who eats Jesus lives because of Jesus. This is a gift from God. |

4Q529 User ID: 38925843 United States 04/26/2013 04:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, I would call Paul a double agent rather than a spy; his fundamental goal being to preserve the Jewish priesthood against the Teaching of Jesus that the Doctrine of "resurrection" as a Doctrine of 'Rebirth'. So, in place of the fact that Jesus was murdered for teaching that Doctrine, Paul concocted the doctrine of "vicarious atonement" as an alternate 'explanation' for why he was murdered; thereby shifting ALL responsibility for the death of Jesus from the Jewish priesthood to the Jewish people... Resulting, step by step, in the slaughter of millions of Jews during the Holocaust. Paul was probably the MOST successful double agent in the history of human civilization; utterly destroying the Teaching of Jesus--thereby preserving the Pharisaical-"synagogue of Satan" Jewish priesthood--while deluding hundreds of millions of Christians that they are, in fact, followers of Jesus. Brilliantly and ingeniously demonic. Michael Last Edited by 4Q529 on 04/26/2013 04:41 PM |

sandpiper User ID: 38927762 United States 04/26/2013 04:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | JESUS CHRIST said, "Paul was a chosen vessel" After JESUS was on the cross, died and put in the grave HE rose again, covering the sins of the sinners. He had not done that with the twelve. By the was, ever Peter called Paul his brother and said that while it was hard to give up what you had known and been taught for so long, Paul had the GOSPEL!!! Paid for in full at the cross. The only way to the FATHER is believing on the LORD JESUS CHRIST, HE is the way the truth and the life. He went to preach the Gentiles. The 12 were still teaching to the JEWS that were under the law, some JEWS did accept Paul's teaching and that by GRACE they were saved, not works or the law. If you break my wings, I will just find a cloud and learn to fly again. The Lord will catch you when you fall or teach you to fly! May the footprints I leave lead you to BELIEVE. |
