But noooooooh - first they'll make you addicted, then ban you from any public place, put you back in line if you have some lung complaint, make you look like a criminal with all doom written all over packages, make you pay tax like there's no tomorrow - and finally make you suffer 'cause your not allowed to smoke anywhere, not even out on the streets. F-ing B.S. as far as I'm concerned. This has to do with the privilidge for what you pay for - and you pay enough as a smoker. If they want to treat smokers as criminals, then stop over-taxing first, and take the chemicals out of the tobacco!! |

How is it that that Nazi shithole that purports to be soooo free, is the most miserable backwards place and they want to turn this country in the United States of NYC with their ridiculous queer 90% foreigner agenda. Fuck that. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 769657^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ |

They get all of it now, which means people in those buildings breathing that air are basically smoking all the time. At least the smokers will kill each other off faster, hopefully the non smokers are smart enough to stay out of these buildings. |

Those are never-ending, very profitable, and allows them to curtail liberties in an effort to "win" the unwinnable. By the time that the majority realizes that it is better to let someone kill themselves than hand over your own liberty trying to stop them....it will be too late. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1388659 Canada 05/24/2011 07:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We'll see how strict NY's smoking bans remain if there's another severe recession. Same with all the other places that have really clamped down the past decade. The source of revenue is too easy and lucrative - just watch, if there's a sharp decline in the economy and too many bars/restaurants closing they'll loosen the regulations or turn a blind eye to existing ones. |
Texas Uncensored User ID: 1398882 United States 05/24/2011 07:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Please remember that if all smokers actually would stop buying cigarettes tomorrow, most (local) governments will have a serious tax problem. That's why I don't understand the hostile approach. Quoting: YddapWe nipped that little problem in the butt when Texas drove the prices up. I now use an e-cig. My hubby is buying loose tobacco, no chems in it. Not only are we not paying those taxes, we've cut the cost to about 20% of what it was. The hostility is ridiculous considering how much more smokers pay in taxes, which fund a whole lot of things the non-smokers and their kids are enjoying. Well, not on our dime anymore. **** PEACE **** UFO's @ [link to www.youtube.com] UFO photos & phenomena @ [link to www.picasaweb.google.com] MY GLP VIDEO CHANNEL * [link to video.godlikeproductions.com] [link to www.futurequake.bravehost.com] |

Why all smokers do not buy fresh tabacco and roll their own is the same reasoning, addiction to the convenience of not having to do that extra little bit of work for themself, at the price of their health and wealth. Some people just can't resist being retarded, especially in a society where they are programmed to be just that. . |

No one should be able to smoke because we are SO concerned about your health. No problem feeding everyone gmo, chemical laced foods and flouride water. Before Enlightenment chop wood and carry water. After Enlightenment chop wood and carry water. Thich Nhat Hanh When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion—when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing—when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors—when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you—when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice—you may know that your society is DOOMED. - Ayn Rand Atlas Shrugged |
