Singer George Jones has battled alcoholism his whole life. At one point, his wife wanted him to get sober so bad she called his friends for help. Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson among others, drove all his cars away. She then abandoned him at his house, alone, with 30 days worth of food, hoping he would get sober.

He went out to the shed and got on his lawn tractor, which he then drove 12 miles down the highway to the closest tavern and spent the 30 days.
