Anonymous Coward User ID: 6139196 United States 10/18/2012 08:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Coming soon: Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1399640 Gold: below $1000 Silver: below $20 The current value is dependent far too much on hype and hysteria. Major players are about to sell off en masse and it'll be a race to get out before it plummets. The first bubble is about to pop. It's actually held back by numerous margin increases put in place just as it begins to rise. Adjusted for inflation, it should be higher. And, it'll only rise because the value of the dollar is depreciating as Uncle Ben prints more worthless dollars. We haven't seen the speculative phase of the bull market for precious metals yet. When we hit that... then you'll see the price pushed up faster than it can sustain (a bubble) and then it'll drop back to a level where there's some support. But, in the long run, the price will only (seem) to go up and up, as the dollar loses it's value. The price of metals isn't going up, in fact. The dollar is going down and metals simply preserve value. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 300884 Sweden 10/18/2012 08:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The price is propped up by the small fish being convinced to buy gold and silver at increasingly inflated prices. There won't be enough buyers at these prices in the coming years. Once that realization sinks in they'll be holding a collapsed asset. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1399640 Sorry bud. The small fish are being convinced to SELL gold and silver at artificially suppressed prices! There are currently a lot of ads trying to trick people into parting with their old gold. This never used to be seen, but now it's practically epidemic. Meanwhile, NO-ONE outside of the fringe tries to get the small fish to buy! Sure, if they sell their gold and silver. |

Therion156 User ID: 24000320 Mexico 10/18/2012 08:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ZIRP \ NIRP means the "carry cost" of gold is negligible.... UST's are topping, only small amount of upside exists compared to downside risk. Hence gold is a logical choice for the risk averse... secondly..... the ability of golds price movement makes it the perfect collateral balance. When the POG moves higher, a greater amount of credit creation may occur.... thirdly, the CB's have been inflating for over 100 yrs, thats their main job & #1 reason for their existence. Do u really think they are going to change policy and terminate the inflationary scheme NOW? I call BS on the OP due to the above and the many other logical reasons that the metals will shine now & into the future... |
Therion156 User ID: 24000320 Mexico 10/18/2012 09:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The last event the Banksters want to deal with is the masses hoarding the metals.... hoarding would\will destroy the fractional leverage that is suspected to be 100:1 +.... for every PHYSICAL ounce of gold & silver, there is 100 ozs of PAPER metal.... the 100 ozs of paper metals represent leveraged credit that the Banks earn interest on..... the Banksters keep the metals prices volatile to prevent the general public from entering the market and demanding delivery. The GLD & SLV ETF's were created for this reason among others... namely to keep their levered paper credit game from being exposed.... These ETF's remind me of the 1990's S & L collapse, "cash out, checks in" scheme, only its "cash in, metals out" this go around! Simply put, when general public demands delivery & bankster accountability, a massive credit\derivative collapse & default will occur, as there simply isnt enuff above-ground available SOURCE to cover 100:1 leverage.... we will rue the coming days when AU & AG move limit up.... you dont buy insurance to wreck ur car, its for "just in case," the same mentality should be applied to the metals... and like insurance you better have the written policy in ur hands, you paid for it, so if u own the metals, you better have the physical insurance policy in ur hands too! $3300+ gold? careful what u wish for, u just might get it, but I assure u, u wont like it! |

Um okay, tell the 'major players' who are now China and India to stop buying. Man, Americans are so self absorbed with their shiite it's unbelievable. Get it through your head, you are a dying/fading empire. YOUR world is tumbling down, not THE world. An absolute truth. |

Your basic premise is that demand will fall, but you don't have a leg to stand on. The Chinese are buying precious metals of all sorts. The US is sending silver to London. With demand like that at best the manipulators can only hold down the price for a while. www.jsmineset.com is the only link you need to know. So OP take your trash talk elsewhere. |
