I basically agree with everything your saying, just didn't want to derail this into another debate entirely...

It's my belief that Moses was heading to and talking about the "New World" and my people screwed up and stayed where he died...

It's a main reason I'm not a Zionist

Nah! Some got to Israel, some not. Portugal is an intrinsically Israelite nation. It is accepted by some here who study these things that a part of the people who came out of Egypt with Moshe headed West through North Africa and upon finding the ocean crossed the columns of Hercules and established themselves in Iberia (Ivria, land of Hebrews).

There are engraven stones here which were read as Hebrew. There is ONE unique building in the center of Portugal which has caused much debate because it shows Egyptian features. And it is situated in a region once known (up to Roman times) as Egytania. You can see several images of the building here:

It is known by its Roman name of Centum Cellas.

It really looks like some Egyptian temples.

Don't disagree with that at all... but I am talking about the intent of Moses, we could go on and on about where people scattered to from that point on.

As I read things the promises were of a very abundant barely if at all inhabited land that certainly doesn't describe anything at the time not populated in the region

Israel simply doesn't fit the bill which brings us back to knowledge of the New World which both of us seem to agree the Egyptians had...

Everything all the way to China was populated, Europe is cold in the North, you could suggest OZ or New Zealand perhaps but that is so far off the beaten path it's infinitely less probable to me

Me think the intended Holy Land, the Land of Milk and Honey... had to range from Brazil to North America

Israel certainly does not fit the bill, they had to kick a lot of ass to hold that place then as well as now
