I have studied this somewhat and downloaded Stellarium to my PC.

OP is correct; we are clearly still in the Age of Pisces and will not be entering Aqarius during our lifetime.

As to why the BS hysteria, I think it's the same as the ZODIAC. Using a program like Stellarium, one can clearly see that the constellations are NOT of uniform size. Cancer (the Crab), for example, is a relatively very small constellation, and the sun is NOT in Cancer for even 30 days. Other constellations, like Gemini, are very LARGE and the sun actually stays within it for quite some time (not a Gemini and haven't played with Stellarium for quite a while so don't know the exact number of days).

So what did "they" do? They went to a UNIFORM astrological wheel. That UNIFORMITY has EVERY CONSTELLATION the same size, even though that is NOT how it is in the sky. Look at the atrological chart and you will discover that each sign of the zodiac covers a 30-day (one-month) span.

I believe that "they" have done the EXACT SAME THING with the Ages, making each one last ~2000 years, when in fact they are also of varying lengths.

Is this stupid? Absolutely! I hate that it was done. I imagine it was done for "convenience" and so the stupid masses could remember it.

I believe the TRUE ZODIAC would be a blend or combination of the two. The pros and cons of each are outlined at Wiki link above.

That and the issue of the 13th constellation, The era of aquarius.. Id say its after the fall of mankind. And likely well into redevelopment. *shrug* Hope someone gets it right.

Ophiuchus doesn't count, only the corner is swept.
