Those are more like antiseptics, not so much antibiotics. A true antibiotic would be something like ampicillin or penicillin, shit like that. Peroxide, sea salt, iodine, they kill all living tissue regardless. An antibiotic would only hunt down bacteria, not healthy non-bacterial cells.

check iodine, i dont think it kills all tissue, and i think it evne leaves good bacteria alone..

I'll check though I was led to believe it does. That's why it's diluted. Actually, checking through most of the this information, iodine can really be used inside the body like a true antibiotic would be. The topical iodine is strong and used for, well, just that - skin disinfectant, skin wounds, etc. Iodine is not a true antibiotic.

Say, for example, you have an infection or abscess int your gut. You can't take iodine pills to cure that - they wouldn't work. However, a true antibiotic would.

Colloidal silver, or Oil of Oregano gets my vote.

Fixed my post. lol Yeah man, if you've got tonsillitis and you take iodine pills, it won't have an effect. You could gargle diluted solution, but that's still bad for you. Iodine is an antiseptic, not an antibiotic.

Nearly all medicinal related posts in this thread cover antiseptics, not antibiotics. Remember, antibiotics come from organisms such as fungi. Iodine is a chemical, not a fungi. Take care!
