Anyone experiencing hot flashes and night sweats (non menopausal) lately?
The last few weeks my temperature will suddenly flare up from within like a hot flash for about 10 minutes. Going to get hormone levels checked but think I'm too young for menopause. What else might it be?

Re: Anyone experiencing hot flashes and night sweats (non menopausal) lately?
I havehad the EXCT SAME THING for almost 5 weeks now. I am past menopause. Hadnt experienced this ever! This isnt even like a normal hot flash for women. it is much more than than. along with this hot flash...most of the time slight nauseated feeling comes over me foe a mere minute then goes away. Equilibrium a bit off sometimes too. all this only in past five weeks I am a very healthy person. No medical issues at all. Just cant figure this out.

It doesn't last long but is wicked uncomfortable. Friend said maybe relative to magnetosphere etc. Only been the last 5 weeks for me too. I wanted to see if others were affected.

Have your thyroid checked. An infection near it can cause abnormal bloodlevels causing the symptoms you list,..any weightloss/gain in last few months?

I will def get my thyroid checked ASAP although it was normal when checked 3 months ago. This is a very dramatic and sudden temp spike that feels like it comes from deep inside and last night was the worst so far. Dreamed I was on fire and woke up SUPER hot. Boyfriend put a fan on to cool me down and was going to take me to ER if I didn't cool down in 15 min. It did eventually pass. Once I get med tests I'll come back and post to see if anyone else is continuing to experience it.

I am menopausal (surgical), but even with my patches, I am unable to control this.

BTW, I had 'early onset menopause', which my ex-husbands wife also had. I had to take hormone pills for two weeks when I was 27. It IS possible to have early onset menopause.

Also, you can get menopause symptoms up to five years before actual menopause. It's called perimenopause.

If males are also experiencing this lately it could be caused by something external, which is why I am curious as to whether others are actually noticing it just in the last 5 weeks or so.

And yes, btw, I did consider perimenopause and will get a hormone level check to rule that out. Thanks everyone for your input. hf

This happened to me for 4 nights or so. I would wake up in a panic and sweating. No nightmare or anything explainable. I could not figure it out but it sure messed with me. I would get to sleep and wake within minutes and would be sweating. I ended up getting through it and have kept a beer by the bed now to chug in the event it happens again.

I chalked it up to anxiety and being faint out of fear as the bible would say would happen during the end times.

Re: Anyone experiencing hot flashes and night sweats (non menopausal) lately?
Posted this on a different thread, but possibly related:

I'm pretty sure I know what's causing the outbreak of madness. It's radiation leaking through our atmosphere and hole-ridden magnetosphere. It's killing animals in droves. Humans spend much more time indoors, so we are less affected. It's mainly microwaves, x-rays and cosmic rays doing the damage. The EPA's RadNet started picking up increased radiation in January, so it's not from Fukushima. Without our normal planetary protection, we are astronauts, subject to the same radiation dangers that they are.

One of the symptoms (and there are many) is brain damage. Some people it makes forgetful or they lack focus, inability to concentrate on tasks. Some people it causes to speak involuntarily in gibberish - those reporters and Judge Judy, for example. Some it makes depressed; that seems to affect women a lot. Some it makes more aggressive, and that's mainly men. Some it makes psychotic - the guy who ate his son in front of a crowd in Africa, people tearing off their clothes for no reason, etc. Dementia and schizophrenia may also result.

A few of the other symptoms: ear-ringing, pressure headaches, 'night sweats', damage to immune system, abdominal discomfort, swollen thyroid, skin rash, occasional dizziness, lethargy, sleeplessness at night, and eventually brain damage, as well as strokes and heart attacks.

Have you noticed a large increase in ambulance sirens in your area in the last six months or so? I certainly have. Instead of 'mass human die-offs' similar to the way the animals of the world are dying, we're succumbing one-by-one, because we spend more time indoors. Not GREAT shielding, being indoors, but way better than none.

I had the ear-ringing and pressure headaches myself. I didn't want the damage to continue so I put up some shielding and poof, the ear-ringing and headaches disappeared and have not returned. Now I'm just watching the world population slowly going mad from the brain damage, and listening to people being carted away every night by ambulance.

Same here. For about the last 4 or 5 weeks. I am on minimal HRT, had a hysterectomy 25 years ago in my 30's.

It first hits at about 3 am, and then hits again at about 6 am. I can't figure out what is doing it. It's like a heater gets turned on for a couple of minutes, and then it's gone. It isn't like a real hot flash at all.

Re: Anyone experiencing hot flashes and night sweats (non menopausal) lately?
Wow, couldn't believe it when I saw this, same here. It heats up my body so bad I throw off the covers and take my arms and legs and move them to a cooler part of the bed, then they heat that part up and I move them to another, until finally my body cools down to the point where I start falling back to sleep, only to wake up a few minutes later freezing! Throw the covers back on then I'm out.

What the hell? Not menopausal, so something is up!

It's starting to settle down now though, have you guys been noticing that? It was really bad about 2 weeks ago.

Here, too. Getting it in the daytime, tho. At weird times, like when resting. Not when working hard. I thought it was peri-meno symptoms starting up, but my doctor says it's too soon and the hormone levels are good.

This has happened on really cold days, too.
