If you have an Asian deli in that area then the carcasses are probably cats. The paws get removed (as well as head and pelt)so they can be sold as Rabbit. If you are buying Rabbit meat and there are no feet on that critter,think about whether you really want that meat.

Very interesting. If you want to determine exactly what kind of animal a corpse is, you'd want the head, paws, and skin - the very things that were removed. That obviously had to be purposeful, and indicates that someone didn't want these corpses identified, or at least not easily. Why might that be? Maybe they were mutations, or at least something never before seen? And dangerous? Don't wanna scare the sheep, so chop off the forensically valuable stuff and leave the rest to rot.
