crater lake is the small lake and taal lake is the large surrounding lake mentioned in the article.. look on google maps.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1405029i have done. read my replies. i can't see 375 tons of small fish being farmed from a small 1 mile wide lake, can you? perhaps I'm wrong though. anyway, here's what taal usually does.. ''While seismic activity is a common precursor to eruptive activity, another useful indicator at Taal is the temperature of Lake Taal. Before the 1965 eruption began, the lake's temperature rose to several degrees above normal. However, on some eruptions there is no reported increase in the lake's temperature. On some eruptions, the dissolution of acidic volcanic gases into the lake has resulted in the death of large numbers of fish and animals.'' [ link to en.wikipedia.org] Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1393708Maybe I misread but the article clearly stated it was taal lake the big lake not crater lake the small one was only trying to clarify. Either way does not sound good more volcano doom Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1405029lol, the fish farms are definitely in the bigger lake, my boyfriend and I went to Taal when we were in the Philippines about two years ago.
